I had planned to write this over the weekend, and before you know it, it's almost time to knock off on Friday. Ah well.
I went to a gathering for my secondary school graduating year, back at my secondary school on Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Everybody more or less recognized everybody else, just that the name just couldn't come to mind. The funny thing was that I talked to some of my schoolmates during the gathering, when I never talked to them during my 4 years in school. Some of our old teachers attended the event as well, as did our principal. The school was kind enough to get some of their current students to bring us for a tour of the new premises, as well as giving us a brief presentation on the current status with respect to the school's development. Next year will be my school's 90th anniversary, and I hope to meet up with everybody again.
On the DSLR front, I have been scouring the interweb on what is good, what accessories I need, the type of lenses, and what they are used for, yada, yada, yada. I'm more or less decided on Canon, just doing some last considering between 450D and 40D. Lens-wise, I intend to start with 1 or 2 relatively cheap lens, to get myself acquainted with a new way of taking photos, and also to understand what works for me. I've checked the Comex prices, and they are not that attractive to me as in I don't really like the freebies.
Moving on to the family. Jas has had a tough week, there was a board meeting in the office, and she had to go to the office early and knock off late. It has been tough on her, and I hope she recovers soon. We bought some snacks for the teachers at the infant care today, as they will be closed on Monday (Teachers' Day). We really appreciate them for taking good care of 樂樂, and it's just our way of showing our gratitude.
樂樂 is able to stand with some support. He can pull himself to stand up from a sitting position, as well as sitting back down from a standing position. He is still not able to balance himself very well without support, but given his development progress, we are not actually worried. He seldom sleeps with us now; he spends the night in his own playpen. He has more room to move around in his sleep without kicking us, but it is more troublesome to pacify him in the middle of the night.
Jas and I think he's teething, as he is not drinking well, and wakes up quite a bit in the middle of the night. He also sleeps less during the day, but that is consistent with the behaviour expected at his age. He takes to solid food very well though. He finishes off the porridge and cereal they feed him at the infant care everyday. Whatever discomfort he may be feeling, he is still as active and inquisitive as ever. He investigates every movement and every sound that he detects. He takes in all the sights and sounds during our short journey to and from the infant care everyday.
That's about it. Time to knock off soon. See ya.
